ÖZGEÇMİŞ
Prof. Dr. Hasan Özkan 1958 yılında Bodrum’da doğmuş, Bornova Anadolu Lisesi ve Ankara Fen Lisesi’ni takiben derece yaparak Ege Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni kazanmıştır. 1982 de mezun olmuş ve mecburi hizmetini tamamladıktan sonra Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalında ihtisasa başlamıştır. 1989 da ihtisasını tamamlamış ve 1991-1992 yılları arasında Hollanda Nijmegen Üniversitesi Neonatoloji departmanında çalışmıştır. Daha sonra Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalında Neonatoloji Departmanını ve Yenidoğan Yoğun Bakım Ünitesini kurmuştur. 1993 de Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Doçenti, 2000 yılında da Profesör ünvanlarını almıştır. Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığı dahil birçok idari ve akademik görevlerde bulunmuştur.
Bugüne kadar uluslararası saygın dergilerde yer almış 150’ nin üzerinde makalesi ve 5000’ nin üzerinde atıfı bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca çok sayıda ulusal dergilerde yayınlanmış makalesi, kitapları, kitap bölüm yazarlığı, konferansları ve oturum başkanlıkları, proje yöneticilikleri ve ödülleri bulunmaktadır.
Prof. Dr. Hasan Özkan halen özel muayanahanesinde çalışmalarına devam etmektedir.
